I wish I could Joey, but start up cost is considerable. And honestly I've analyzed it (I'm not a business major) and I don't see the magazine surviving if I went through with it.
I got a few things going on right now and I can't afford to tie up so much money in something I don't see happening.

even if u get shops to sponsor or buy ad space? id buy a subscription. maybe u could do it half color half black and white just to get the ball rolling.

Thanks, ad spaces would definitely help but every time I hear people bitching about Lowrider magazine it's because of too many ads.

That's another good point, that's why LRM offers completely paperless subscriptions now too.

Not all mags are monthy maybe you could a quarterly issue then work your way up to every 2 months then when it hits big then every month. Some of the biggest mags started this way. This way you keep the people wanting more. What I miss from lrm and other mags is the technical how to's and articles that show you how to do it your self. Almost every feature car article sounds like this. Here is some vato. He found this this car on craigslist took it to this shop, wrote a check and picked up his ride two weeks later. I think that's what has turned homies off from the mag. Most vatos I know do their own work. And I'm not saying all the articles are like this but too many are.
