DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHAT REAR END (AXLE) I CAN USE ON MY 64 SO I CAN BE ABLE TO USE MY FENDER SKIRTS? I HEARD YOU CAN CUT IT AND SHORTEN IT. I'VE ALSO HEARD YOU CAN USE THE REAR END OF A BUICK REGAL. LET ME KNOW IF ANY BODY HAS ANY INFO.

hey Edgar I dont know if you like the Idea but you could try using 13x5.5/13x6 rims to give you a little extra room in the back...Paul

THANKS PAUL, I HAD ALREADY THOUGHT OF THAT CAUSE I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY CADDY BUT I REALLY WANT TO KEEP THE 13x7 IF ITS POSSIBLE. I REALLY APPRECIATE THE HELP THOUGH, THANK YOU.

WELL JUST MEASURE HOW FAR YOUR RIMS ARE STICKING OUT ON EACH SIDE AND THEN THAT WOULD BE IT I THINK TO BE SAFE YOU SHOULD CUT 1 1/2 INCHES TO 2 INCHES ON EACH SIDE

Edgar, my advice would be cut it. Do it right the first time, if you did all that work to get the car where its at right now dont let the rear end stop you. I havent been in the valley a long time but I remember having Joe from Joes welding fix a rear someone screwed up for me. I tried to do it cheaper and cost me more in the long run. He moved from Mission to Mcallen, but I cant remember the street. Not sure but its the street where Tex Mex Club is at, just look for the hot rods in his place. He can cut the rear and axles right the first time.
