what about if ur dash lights are out? a friend is having this problem he says he hit the lower panel and sometimes it works lol

for something like that it could be a few different things. one it could be the dimmer/dome light switch. I dont remember if this model has a separate switch or if it has it built into the exterior light pull switch. either way the dimmer/dome light switch and head light switch is all one assembaly. the other thing is the the circuit board the the dash has either a small crack in the etching of the circuit board or a soldered connection that has come loose. i see this alot in vehicles that reach the 20 year age and have been parked outside most of the time in the sun. if the lights are the only thing that is effected i would start with the dimmer/dome light switch. if other things are effected when the lights go out then i would start with the dash and gauge circuit board.

I had already asked about the problems i got with my blinkers i replaced a burnt bulb but didnt fix the problem the hazards do work what could it be

Most gm cars have a separate flasher for the turn signals and the hazards. Check the turn signal harness connection near the base of the steering column. Check for damage or loose connections. Last option wound be to remove steering wheel and check the turn signal mechanism assembly inside the steering column. These can become damaged or misaligned over time.
