Sure! First do you think its not getting gas or not? If not there should be a service port for the fuel pressure gauge to read the pressure I dont know the specs of the pressure but call ur local AUTOZONE and ask... Also check fuel pump relay... Then if pressure is not there then its ur fuel pump.... If there's pressure check the TBI or FI injecters... IF they work then spray starter fuild (car spay not bbq fuild lol) direct to the TBI ... If it does start or atten to start u may want to check the spark...You do this by removing a S plug wire and checking if u see a spark if no... then is a different animal !!! I wounld start with IGN CONTROL MUDULE u can check at ur local AUTOZONE then PICK UP COIL, IGN COIL, DIS MODULE some of this items are easy to take off and check at ur local AUTOZONE .... FINALLY IF ALL THE IGN SYSTEM IS WORKING THEN IS UR TIMING CHAIN...... LET ME KNOW WHAT UP FOR ANY ADVICE!!!

Something like that happened to my Cadillac. Had trouble starting, I would step on the gas and the car would hesitate, and want to stall out........it was the fuel pump. Hopefully that's not the case with yours, but if it is, you're looking at dropping well over $100.

i appreciate all the feed back. i'll give rios a call when i get out of work today. btw yeyo, the truck turns on right away, it's when i'm at a light, or i stop. when the light turns green and i give it gas, it takes awhile to catch, hopefully it is the fuel pump and not the tranny. lol
