Need the help of those of you who have a little more than average knowledge of hydraulics. My tio promised me an old pump he had laying around in his garage and yesterday he came through!! I know the old Ford 351's were named after where they were built. Like the Windsor and the Clevland. Is it the same for the old Rockford pumpheads? Just need some info on it, personally I think its one hell of a nice looking pump but don't know if I can even use it in a car. The voltage required or flow #'s Any help is appreciated

Anybody? I think it came off a man lift, I'm mainly concerned with the voltage of the motor? I'll probably test it out this weekend if I get a chance. ;D

That pump belongs to a scissor lift, they are light duty pumps that DO NOT produce alot of pressure. When you remove the pump form the motor you will see a rubber bushing in the center ''X'' shaped. Those usually run on 24 vlts with deep cycle batteries(Trojan T-105).
Not worth the trouble of installing an external tank for the pump in the trunk....for this pump.

honestly i love those old style pumps hey are redone and painted yea its true that they dont generate much pressure but with the pump head boared out and the starter at top performance they add a og style to a show car or add style to a cruiser by using it as`a back pump, do u have the tank?

Que ta habias echo Chivo?
I think I'm taking a different direction with the car though. If I did anything like this it would be with some lift gates and waterman dumps, but I doubt it.
I'll probably use these as practice for pinstriping or something.
