u would have to contact lowrider magazine the info is on the latest issues but not to be an asshole but many real lowriders are boycotting lowrider they took away Texas shows plus the magazine coverage isn't too great I myself don't buy the mag anymore for these same reasons, some advice for ur show is if u really want lowriders to attend is just be fair in pricing and judging also show us u really wants us to be there ur flyer had no lowriders on it in my opinion add all types of cars to show it will be for everyone again I have nothing against this show or u personally its great ur doing something for the people that need it I'm just trying to help u out and help u understand the lowriding community,I would expect someone to help me if I went into the truckin scene again not trying to offend anyone just putting my opinion out there

Well rafa called me up and said he had 8 sets of trophies left and a best of show. And since he thought there were not alot of lowrider catagorys he want to know if we wanted to have a show he would donate the trophies thats 8 1st, 8 2nd, 8 3rd and a best of show. So I was thinking if the Lowrider Council wanted to have a small show for thanksgiving and make it like a food drive. Tis was we can start getting the word out about the lowrider council . We would just need a place to host it. Just my 2 cents worth. If any one has any sugestions let me know so I can let him know that we want them. For those of you that couldn't make it the trophies are nice.

thank you for advise lower. dont worry man i know what you are trying to tell me i dont think in anyway you were trying to tell me something wrong on the other hand you get to open my eyes in thing i can learn more on the lowrider scene man. i think the price for the border bash is a great price only 15 buck's and 5 dollars for adult is a very low price to other car show around the valley and even up state. i called lowrider already and told me that is will be 15,000 to bring the lower 18 wheeler down here with alll there judges and promoto the border bash in the magz. on the flyer im going to make a double side flyer with the truck scene in one side and lowrider on the back .. if you want the trophies to do a lowrider fund raiser go for it ...... well see you all next border bash 09 and the next toys drive maybe we can all sit down and make something good happen.

Well I have keep my mouth shut long enough, more to cool down and think about what was said. I am not going to post what was sad. But I am going to say this, I was asked to judge the show, so I helped out with the judging, I have no club affiliation. I judged this show based on my nolage of cars and being at a number of shows in Cali. I didn't favor any cars over others or clubs and I am sorry for those who feel this way, specially when this was a fun raiser and not the lowrider super show, yes its nice to win a trophy and be recognized as for your car, but for me and others I have talked to its not about the trophy I about the love of the sport, show off your ride and meeting other people and sharing the love. I have met allot of people since moving to the RVG and those that have talk to me should know I am straight up and would help anyone if I can. Well I guess this is not true for others out there its all about trophies and talking crap, this was reflexed after the trophies were handed out. This is all I will say this show is over Rafael you put on a good show, yes there was some bumps in the the road but nothing that was serious or affected the show and the cause.

this is what I'm talking about by making it fair, I like that idea of having someone neutral and sticking to the cars not by who u know, I gave rafa this opinion because there are some shows that do that and I think its unfair that someone with a clean ride losses because they aren't well known or because the style of car the judging should be based on the quality of the work, just because I got an impala and someone else a cadillac doesn't mean I got a better ride , again I didn't go to this show myself but hearing who was judging I thought it would be fair I just gave rafa my input because I would like to see this show continue he is doin it for a good cause and not for profit. I wasn't complaining about it just stating the issues weve have had in the past with other shows.

i person think a car show that you have to pay more than $25 is alot money. $15 to $25 bucks is a good price for a show. i been to show were i had to pay $60 dollars our gone to some of the same shows and they want $35 and $40 bucks and only have 8 sets of trophies. i will always keep my prices low so everyone can come an enjoy the show.. i have to say im proud of my staff and more im proud of my raza for showing me love and coming to my show even thought im a truck guys... but i tell you this im going to double up my trophies next year and i will post all my catag. we will have in a show........ i can tell you this when i go to a show i enjoy see the ridez, and meeting you guys cause thats way a show is worth for me... i have more than 128 trophies at my living room from all the years i have gone to shows and there are all old news....... but the friends i meet there those time are still kicking with me... so remember this not for the border bash but for any other show you may go. do it for the love and the respeact.. not for the self person..... now if you pay 60 buck to enter you better go look for the judge an kick hiis ass if you dont get a trophie lol!!!! well see you all and once thanks again for coming to the border bash

WHAT TURNED OUT TO BE ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS IN THE VALLEY WAS RUINED BY FAVORITISM. THERE WERE A LOT OF BOMBS OUT THERE VIEJITOS, DUKES, VETERANOS, CHICANO STYLE AND MACHINE ALAN COULD HAVE BEEN FAIR AND GAVE EVERYONE A SHOT. INSTEAD HE BEND OVER BACKWARDS AND MADE SURE ALL THE VIEJITOS WALKED OUT WITH TOP TROPHIES BUT ITS NOT ABOUT THE TROPHY THAT’S WHY I GAVE THE VIEJITOS THE TROPHY BACK AT WESTSIDE PARK. WHETHER THEY DESERVED THE TROPHIES OR NOT IT LOOKS BAD THE WAY HE JUDGED THE CATEGORIES. IF YOU WANT PROOF THAT ALAN “ISN’T” AFFILIATED WITH VIEJITOS GO TO 2nd ANNUAL RGV PICNIC AND THERE HE IS PARKED WITH ALL THE VIEJITOS OR GO TO ALAN’S MYSPACE PICS AND YOU WILL SEE ALL THE VIEJITOS AT HIS BIRTHDAY PARTY. I CAN UNDERSTAND INVITING ONE OR TWO CLUB MEMBERS BUT INVITING THE WHOLE CLUB LOOKS MORE LIKE A CLUB MEETING THAN A B-DAY PARTY.

I CAN UNDERSTAND INVITING ONE OR TWO CLUB MEMBERS BUT INVITING THE WHOLE CLUB LOOKS MORE LIKE A CLUB MEETING THAN A B-DAY PARTY. 1st of all carnal there were NOT alot of bombs.. Chicano Style(Polo) did not pay the entry fee, So he did not "Contribute to the Cause"..Joel "El Machine is still a good friend and his Bomba is Bad Ass..As alot of us know that when we attend car shows and you enter yourself in a certain catagory doesn't mean that you are going to be kept in that catagory...Rafa was the one who came up to Alan at the 2ND Annual Lowrider show and asked him to be a judge..Believe me, I've been to several shows in San Anto and enter a certain catagory and by show's end I've been placed in another..We just attended a Houston show this past weekend and the same thing happened..Orale, Duke's why can't we get along?. We're all in the same thing...Bombas are "OUR THING"..After the show in Houston we met up with OLDIES, H-BOMBS, COCHINOS, and other local BOMB clubs...We had a great time with those Vatos...Let's put the Drama to the side...Aren't we trying to start an RGV Lowrider Council?...And you said that you "handed the trophy back to us"..Say the truth and let it be known that you threw the Trophy on the ground in front of all of us while we were having our Club meeting at the West side park.. Then as we were driving out of the park there was a young lady carrring the Duke's plaque in front of our rides asking us, "Let's see who wants to fight us now?"..There's no way that I would allow anyone to carry the Viejitos plaque and have those comments said in front of any car club.Viejitos and Duke's, especially Duke's are legendary in Califas and we should be prevlideged to Carry that Placa here in the RGV...Mike, you told me at that show that people were making things more that what they were but it seems we're back at the same thing..When I was a teenager I remember flipping through the late 70's pages of Lowrider Mag and seeing the Duke's Bombas line ups..That's what got me into the Bombs..Some of you vatos in this site know me personally...We're trying to keep the Lowrider movement here in the Valley back on track, no matter if it's Bombs, Traditionals, or whatever..We're all in the same boat..Mike, on November 9th we're attending the Old Car Festival at Palmer Pavillion..Like always we're going to be cooking out and Duke's are welcomed to have some tacos and cold ones with us..Again, Let's put the Drama aside...Con Mucho Respeto, Emilio..

I am not going to comment back on what has been posted, those that know me, know what i am about, Emilo stated it good enough for me, I came to the valley to get away from the drama, and now I am back in the middle of it. I did ask for this nore do i want it, All I will say I was ask to judge the show. End of story if you want the truth you can come up to me and ask me personally and i will tell you the way it was. then you can decide on what you beleave. I personelly don't have a problem putting my car back in the garage and leaving it there and not go to any functions.
