maybe i'm missing the point, but all i see is people complaining about us not going out as a group and not showing up in numbers. they way i see it is if you are a true lowrider like we all claim to be on here, why do we need a group to enjoy our rides? to me a true rider doesnt need a group. a tru rider can go to the park on their own or enjoy their car for themselves. i see classic cars or hot rods on the weekends driving around alone, they dont need a caravan for people to check them out. they are simply enjoying their labor of love for themselves. i am guilty of not taking my car out every weekend or going to all the cruises with everyone. its not because i am less proud of my car or because im afraid of pumping gas or buying tires. responsibility has me on a time schedule that doesnt allow me to enjoy my car as much as i would like too. i work all day, get home around 7 only to spend a couple of hours with my kids before its bedtime. on saturday i have to do yard work and run all the errands i couldnt run during the week. by the time sunday comes around, its either go to the park or bbq with the family then get ready for another week. you talk about the good old days, but thats the past. in the good old days, i didnt have a mortgage, didnt work 50 hours a week and didnt have kids to look after. but when time allows, i do take my car out, and i will continue to do so for years to come. X2 on this. Well said Gabe. I have noticed much drama come in to the lowrider scene in the past years which push some people including myself away from the sport and rather chill with the kids while they are still young. Don't get me wrong I love cruzing the Monte but untill the family agrees its time to roll... we roll. It's a family thing for us. It's not just about what I want.

Pride ...that's lowridin homeboys That's my point rigo. You do it because you love it. If your wife wanted something from the store, do you need 5 homies in 5 cars to go with you? I've been in the delta area and I see you delta boys rolling solo all the time con orgullo.

Very well said gabe. it was a hell of a lot easier when we didn't have the responsibility like we do now. if you've been able to lowride everyday since day one, then more power to you. If your able to do it every weekend then great. Some of us aren't able to have that time. Shit if it was up to me I would be out whenever I wanted to. But I got my family to support first. I would love to have my 66 rolling right now but I can't. I'm just thankful I've been able to start buying the parts I need for it. I'm not looking to build a show car , I'm getting ready to build a car for the streets to enjoy it everytime I can with my sons. I can care less bout placing in a show. I will enter shows to help support the ones giving it and to have fun with everyone out there. But at the end of the day I'm just thankful to enjoy what I love. LOWRIDING.

My kid took the wheel Staples parking lot on Jackson in Pharr to Sonic on 10th, I told her let's go cruise her reply...."cruising is boring". I can see how it may be for them..... But when I told her you can drive it......her response changed to......."for real?!?!" I'm not making any suggestions or trying to prove any points, this is what I do...........
